On Saturday the 17th of October 2020 selected members of the Summerstrand Surf Lifesaving Club competed in the Virtual Coolangatta Gold. This event is a very prestigious event held on the Gold Coast in Australia, but this year a Virtual race was held because of COVID-19. This gave lifesavers from all over the world a chance to compete in this race.
The short course section of the event consisted of a 10.5km ski paddle, 2km swim, 3km board paddle and a 5.5km run.
The Summies competitors tackled the competition with spirit and determination all while digging deep and coming out stronger!
